Objective: To study the effect of Fuyan decoction on inflammatory cytokines in blood serum in acute pelvic inflammation rats.Method: The rat acute pelvic inflammation model was established by mixed bacteria of Staphylococcus aureus
Mycoplasma urealytium and Escherichia coli.Fuyan decoctions in high
middle
low dosage were used to treat acute pelvic inflammation rat for 20 days.The content of blood serum interleukin-2(IL-2)
interleukin-6(IL-6)
tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in acute pelvic inflammation rats was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Pathologic changes of oophoron and uterus were studied by microscope
in the same way
the number of blood corpuscle was measured by blood corpuscle analyzer.Result:The content of IL-2
IL-6 and TNF-α in normal group was(117.62±3.24)
(74.40±3.76)
(22.17±2.87)ng·L-1 respectively.In compare with normal group
the concentration of IL-2
IL-6 and TNF-α in model group was severally decreased and increased to(95.44±2.83)
(89.85±4.57)
(33.48±4.52) ng·L-1(P<0.01);IL-2 and IL-6 concentration in low and middle Fuyan decoction groups were respectively higher and lower than those in model group(P<0.05)
TNF-α content was not different.Change of those in high dosage group was prominent(P<0.01);totality of white blood cell and percentage of neutrophile granulocyte were decreased obviously in three groups
Fuyan decoction could also abated the inflammation reaction of mucosa
lower number of inflammatory cell in mucosa.Conclusion: Fuyan decoction can prevent and treat acute pelvic inflammation by regulation of expression of inflammatory cytokines.
