Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of gastrodin injection in the treatment of cluster headache（CH）.Method: Eighty cases reached the selection standard for CH patients were randomly divided into two groups

the control group and the observation group with 40 cases in each.Two groups were given nimodipine

40 mg

tid

orally.The observation group was given gastrodin injection in addition

800 mg in 5% glucose（500 mL）

iv drip

daily.The two groups were treated for 1 weeks as a course.The clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after 2 courses was evaluated for pain symptom and adverse reactions.Result: The cure rate of the treatment group was 77.50%

and 62.50% in the control group.Two groups showed significant difference（P<0.05）.The total efficiency in treatment group was 92.50%

and 82.50% in control group

with significant difference（P<0.05）.In two groups

after the treatment pain symptom scores were（2.12±0.71） and（4.13±0.31） accordingly

compared with those before treatment they were significant（P<0.05）.The observation group showed more improvement than in the control with significance（P<0.05）.Two groups of patients were smoothly pasted the treatments without any obvious adverse reactions.Conclusion: Gastrodin injection is effective in the treatment of CH.
