Objective: Analyzing and identifying the constituents of the chemical constituent the Folium Rhodomyrti Tomentosae. Method: The essential oils were extracted by steam distillation
and then the constituents were separated and identified by GC-MS. Result: 50 compounds from the volatile oil were identified
which account for 99.98 % of total volatile oils
and of them the main components are terpenes The main constituents are caryophylleneoxide(13.15%)

trans-(4.22%). The content (13.96%) of caryophyllene is the highest. Conclusion: The essential oil from Folium Rhodomyrti Tomentosae showed high application value
and this study provided a chemical basis as a medicinal herb
and theoretical basis for the comprehensive utilization of the essential oil from leaf of Folium Rhodomyrti Tomentosae.
