Objective: To optimize extraction process of total saponins from Chaenomelis Fructus. Method: Taking yield of total saponins as index
extraction method was selected by single factor test
orthogonal test was adopted to optimize extraction process with ethanol concentration
extracting temperature
ratio of material to liquid and extraction time as factors.UV was employed to determine the content of total saponins with detection wavelength at 550 nm. Result: The best extraction process was as following:extracted 3 h with 20 times the amount of 80% ethanol at 90℃;yield of total saponins from Chaenomelis Fructus was 1.69%. Conclusion: This process was stable and feasible
it could provide a reference for development of series products of Chaenomelis Fructus.
