Objective: To investigate and analysis the clinical curative effect and the clinical value of modified Shashen Maidong tang combined with chemotherapy treatment for patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Method: Sixty-eight patients were enrolled and randomly divided into control group and observation group.Patients in both group received conventional chemotherapy treatment

and patients in observation added modified Shashen Maidong tang. The improvementin quality of life

stablility of lesions and indexes of therapeutic effectwere compared between two groups. Result: Therewas no significant differencein quality of lifescore between the two groups before the treatment.While the quality of life score

the stability rate of lesions and the total curative rate showed significant improvement after the treatment

and observation group was superior to control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Clinical application of Shashen Maidong tang combined chemotherapy treatment has remarkable curative effect in patients with NSCLC in terms of improving the survival and quality of life

and this method has certain clinical value.
