Objective: To study effects of Buyang Huanwu Tang (BYHWT)on morphology and organ coefficients of splenic organ and brainand β-amyloid(Aβ) of hippocampal in Alzheimer's disease mice. Method: Male APP/PSI double transgenic mice were randomly divided into control group
model group
treatment group
BYHWT high-dose group(37.06 g· kg-1)
medium dose group(18.53 g· kg-1)
low-dose group(9.26 g· kg-1).The mice were killed 28 days after continuous treating. After the treatment all animals were sacrificed

calculated the organ coefficients of splenic organ and brain. Biochemical methods were used to determine the content of Aβ in the hippocampal tissue. Result: Compared with the control group
the model group had no normal morphological structure of nerve cells and the number of nerve cells was significantly decreased
the organ coefficients of splenic organ and brain significantly decreased(P<0.05)
Aβ was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the model group
the BYHWT group recovered normal morphological structure of nerve cells and the number of nerve cells was significantly increased
the organ coefficients of splenic organ and brain significantly increased(P<0.05)
Aβ was significantly decreased(P<0.05). Conclusion: BYHWT can improve normal morphological structure of nerve cells of Alzheimer's disease mice
increase organ coefficients of splenic organ and brain and decrease Aβ responses.
