Objective: To study the anti-tumor triterpenes from the pericarps of Juglans regia. Method: The chemical constituents isolated and purified by silica gel

Sephadex LH-20 columns and recrystallization. The structures of isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of NMR spectral data and physicochemical properties. Result: Ten compounds were separated and identified as 20(S)-protopanaxadiol(1)
