Objective: To observe the effects of total flavonoids of tartary buckwheat on palmitic acid-induced PI3K in EA.hy926 cells. Method: EA.hy 926 cells were cultured in vitro and divided into the control group
the model group
the total flavonoids of tartary buckwheat group and the metformin group. The PI3K mRNA and protein expression levels were determined by RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry
respectively. Result: Compared with the control group
the expression levels of PI3K mRNA and protein were significantly lower in the control group (P<0.01). Compared with the control group
the PI3K mRNA and protein expression increased markedly in both total flavonoids of tartary buckwheat group and metformin group (P<0.01)
and there is no significant difference between two groups. Conclusion: Total flavonoids of tartary buckwheat could effectively promote the expression of PI3K mRNA and protein in endothelial cells under palmitic acid stimulation.
