Objective: To study chemical constituents of CHCl3extract from Phyllanthus matsumurae and provide the scientific evidence for further development. Method: Various techniques such as silica gel column and Sephadex LH-20 chromatography were used for the isolation and purification. Physicochemical properties and spectroscopic methods including1H-NMR

13C-NMR and MS were used for the identification of structures. Result: Seven compounds were isolated from the CHCl3 extract of 75% alcohol extract of the whole plant and identified to be quercetin (1)
