At present

the research on anti-tumor activity of the total saponins of Aralia eleta has made certain progress

which mainly related to transplantation tumor model of human lung adenocarcinoma

breast cancer

mouse ascites tumor in vitro and cell studies on human hepatocellular carcinoma

human colon cancer

gastric cancer

ovarian cancer and human erythroleukemia in vivo. In order to understand the research status of total saponin of Aralia eleta in anti-tumor activity

and investigate the anti-tumor effect

we compared our research to the previous research on cell concentration

the dose and the usage time of total saponins in tumor model in vitro and in vivo. Finally

we discovered that the total saponins were effective at a dosage of 50 mg·kg-1 in vitro

and the different dose interval and duration have different effect. However

the different dose has different effect in vivo too. These researches provide the experimental basis for clinic application and pharmacological action for total saponins of Aralia eleta.
