Objective: To establish an HPLC fingerprint of Poria and make the principal component cluster analysis
in order to provider the effective and reliable experimental basis for its quality control. Method: The HPLC analysis was performed on a CAPCELL PAK C18 MGⅡS5 column (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm) with the column temperature at 25 ℃. The mobile phase was water containing 0.1% phosphoric acid and acetonitrile in the gradient mode. The detection wavelength was set at 242 nm. All data was analyzed by the SPSS statistical software. Result: The common mode of HPLC fingerprint was established
and the cluster analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) were applied to study the HPLC fingerprint and chemical pattern recognition. Conclusion: The combination of fingerprint and chemical pattern recognition is an effective method for the quality control of traditional Chinese medicinal materials and can reflect the comprehensive information of Poria and provide the scientific experimental basis for evaluating Poria.
