Objective: To study the regularity of extraction time

and the reaction time of phenolic acids peak area change rule by High-performance liquid chromatography. Result: The content of salvianolic acid B was increasing and reached the maximum at 30 min

salvianolic acid A is the final product. Salvianolic acid A could be converted into Salvianolic acid C and iso-salvianolic acid C by alkaline hydolysis. Conclusion: Reveals transformation of phenolic acids under heating

providing theoretical support in future Chinese medicine production and clinical applications of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma.
