Objective: To study the chemical constituents from n-butyl alcohol extracts of total polyphenols effective part from pomegranate peel
expound the material foundation of its anti-tumor effect
and provide scientific basis for its development and utilization. Method: Separation techniques such as silica gel column chromatography
reversed-phase silica gel column chromatography and preparation liquid chromatography were used
and 6 monomer compounds were isolated from total polyphenols effective part from pomegranate peel. Their structures were identified according to the physicochemical properties
1H-NMR spectroscopy data and 13 C-NMR spectroscopy data. Result: Six monomer compounds were obtained from n-butyl alcohol extracts of total polyphenols effective part from pomegranate peel
and were identified as narcissin(1)
1-O-glaloyl-β-D-glucos(2)
tachioside(3)
p-hydroxybenzoic acid glucose ester(4)
coumaric acid glucose ester(5)
2-phenylethyl rutinoside(6). Conclusion: All other compounds except compound 2 were isolated from pomegranate peel for the first time.
