Objective: To establish a new method for fast determination of forsythiaside A content in different Forsythiae Fructus by using near infrared spectroscopy
and provide new ideas for quality analysis of this Chinese medicine. Method: Content of forsythoside A in Forsythiae Fructus was determined by using HPLC method prescribed in 2010Chinese Pharmacopoeia
and simultaneously the near infrared spectroscopy was combined with partial least squares (PLS) to establish the quantitative calibration model of forsythoside A in different Forsythiae Fructus. Result: The correlation coefficients (R2) of forsythoside A in the quantitative calibration model was 0.99489;the validation coefficients (R2) was 0.9970;and root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) was 0.182.The model had well prediction results. Conclusion: This near infrared spectroscopy method is convenient and accurate and suitable for rapid determination of the content of forsythoside A in different Forsythiae Fructus.
