Objective: Compare and evaluate the quality of Scutellaria barbata from different habitats. Method: The content of scutellarin

the quality of S. barbata was assessed by principal componentanalysis and cluster analysis method. Result: The difference of the content of scutellarin

total flavonoids and polysaccharides of S. barbata which from different habitats were quite large. The total flavonoids and polysaccharides were abundance in S. barbata
which were 18.56-74.67 mg·g-1 and 19.67-47.3 mg·g-1 respectively. All the samples are up to the medical requirements. PCA concluded that two factors(F1
F2) could be used to evaluate the quality of S. barbata. The function is following F=0.581 28F1+0.278 82F2
the scores of different habitats of S. barbata were from-0.66-1.68.The quality of S. barbata in the Jinping of Guizhou
Yunnan and Zhenyuan of Guizhou is the best respectively. Conclusion: The habitats and growing environment have some effect on the quality of S. barbata
this research can provide some reference for the germplasm resources and quality evaluation of S. barbata.
