Objective: To investigate the effect of Liuwei Dihuang decoction metabolized by photosynthetic bacteria(LW-PSB) on the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA in hippocampus neurons of aging model mice. Method: Mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: model group
positive control group(VE 0.27 g·kg-1)
LW-PSB-treated group(0.50 g·kg-1) and normal group. Each group was administrated continuously for 30 days. After 30 min of administration
the hippocampus of each group was separated and RT-PCR was adopted to detect the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA in hippocampus neurons. Result: Compared with the model group and positive control group
the Bcl-2 2-△△Ct and Bcl-2/Bax were increased and Bax 2-△△Ctwas decreased in LW-PSB-treated group. Conclusion: LW-PSB might up-regulate expression of Bcl-2 mRNA and down-regulate expression of Bax mRNA to anti-aging.
