134 types of external Chinese medicine with heat nature were selected to study their four properties
five kinds of flavou and actions. EPI Data 3.02 was used to establish the database and SPSS 13.0 was used. ninety-six types of external chinese medicies in selected chinese mediceines were characterized by pungent flour
accounting for 71.6%. Fourty three types were characterized by bitter floue accounting for 32.1%. Thirty seven types showed sweet flour
accounting for 27.6%. 9 type were salty flour
accounting 6.7%. Only 5 types indicated sour flour with 3.73%. The flour of external chinese medicines are most used for Rheumatism
which including 24 types
