Bupleurum root and Scutellaria root is the core paired-component of the Minor Chaihu decoction. In the experiment we observed the effects of anti-febrile of the Bupleurum root and Scutellaria root mingled decoction and separated decoction on the fever induced by LPS intraperitoneally injected at the dose of 20μg/kg and 80μg/kg
respectively. Both of the decoctions orally administrated can significantly inhibited the fever induced by LPS at both doses ( P<0.05 or 0.01)at the dose of 10g/kg
and there is no significance between the both decoctions. But analyzing the effects comprehensively
we found that the mingled decoction presented the anti-febrile effet earlier than the separated decoction
