Objective: To study the chemical constituents in the stem bark of Pterostyrax psilophyllus. Method: The chemical constituents were separated and purified by chromatographic methods combined with spectroscopic analyses. Result: Twelve compounds were isolated from the stem bark of P. psilophyllus and identified as following:methyl-2

prunetin(3)

genistein(4)

2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-3

6-dimethyl benzoic acid(5)

genistein-4'-O-β-glucoside(6)

amyrin(7)

catechin(8)

epicatechin(9)

vanillic acid(10)

β-sitosterol(11)

daucosterol(12). Conclusion: All twelve compounds were isolated from the plants of P. psilophyllus for the first time.
