Objective: To investigate the efficacy and compatibility mechanism of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos-Weeping Forsythia herbal pairs.Method: All of chemical components related to the two traditional Chinese medicines were researched from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP)
in order to explore potential targets related to candidate compounds. The network pharmacological method was adopted to analyze its efficacy and compatibility mechanism.Result: According to the oral bioavailability (OB) and drug likeness (DL) conditions
16 candidate active molecules
64 corresponding target and 166 kinds of related diseases were screened out. The value of the first three candidate compounds were bicuculline (37)
turpentine monomethyl ether (30)
and 5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2-3
4
5-trimethoxyphenyl chromone (30). The five target proteins with the degree value equal to 13 were SLC6A3
DPP4
AR
NOS2
PTGS2.The related diseases with high degree value were non-specific cancer
Alzheimer's disease
breast cancer
pain
cardiovascular disease
inflammationin the order from high to low.Conclusion: The result of the study preliminarily verifies the basic pharmacological effects of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos-Weeping Forsythia herbal pairand its related mechanisms
and lays a solid foundation for further studies on the mechanism of action.
