        摘要：1498 papers of pharmacological studies of traditional medical formulae were published on 160 various journals during 1991～1994.Those papers dealing with 880 recipes were from 305 institutions. Among the 880 prescriptions,166 with 484 papers were from the classical and ancient formalae,others(714 recipes)with 1014 papers were from empirical ones designed by present traditional medical doctors. One fourth of all prescriptions studied were tonifying recipes,Experimental methods,research techniques applied to studying traditional medical formulae,principal institutions,and core iournals on this fieled were dealed with and discussed.

        摘要：Radix Paeoniae Alba. Radix gentianae maerophyllae in Yangxue Ruanjian granulc were qualitative identified hy TLC,and the contents of paeoniflorin and gentiopicrin in granule were analyzed quantitatively by HPLC,It was shown that the methods were sensitive with high reproducibility,the recovery of paeoniflorin being 101.9%,RSD 0.74% and that of gentiopierin being 98.23%,RSD 2.03%.

        摘要：Using TLCS,a method was descrided for determination of berberine hydrochloride contents in Xianglian tablet.The method was accurate simple and sensitive,and no interference of the other compositions in the determination was observed.Therefore,the method for estimating berberine level can be recommended to control the quality of Xianglian tablet.

        摘要：Based on the qualitative analysis for the immunosupressive components in the aqueous extracts from Ermiao Powder(EMP)reported in our previous paper,present investigation was carried out to determine alkaloids in EMP and Cortes phellodendri(CP)quantitatively using TLCS and HPLC methods. The results demonstrated that quantity of all the individual alkaloids determined in EMP,eskpecially berberine and palmatine,was less than that of corresponding ones in CP.

        摘要：The pharmacologic characteristics of Xinyuan granule,a Chinese drug formula,was investigated in this study.The data obtained in the animal experiments revealed that Xinyuan granule exhibited activities if dilating coronary artery,increasing blood flow in coronary artery and decreasing coronary circulatory resistance. In addition,the granule appeared to have hypotensive action and to lower myocardial oxygen consumption,Therefore,Xinyuan granule is a new medicine which can improve cardiovascular functions and myocardial energy metabolism.

        摘要：The effect of Bushen Yannian granule on unscheduled DNA syntheses(UDS)in whole blood cells of old rats was studied. The results showed that UDS in the group treated with Bushen Yannian granule at a high,or moderate,or low dose,was higher than that in the old control group(P＜0.05),indicating that it can enhance DNA repair capacity in old rats.

        摘要：Using both bifidobacteria and lactobacilli,major anaerobes in intestine,as main objects,the change of the intestinal flora of the mice with experimental Spleen dificiency was studied.The results indicated that the recipes for strengthening spleen and reinforcing the vital energy(qi)were all able to counteract the effect of rhubarb which decreased the counts of the above bacteria.The data elucidated one possible mechanism of the biological action of the recipes,indicating relationship between a normal stabilization of bifidobacteria and lactsbacilli and the human body health.

        摘要：Effects of Xinmaikang (XMK)(n=5)on neurohormonal factors(urine NE,plasma RAAS,ET and ANP),Urine Na and urine volume in CHF rats treated were measured,as compared with captopril treatment(n=5)and nontreatment group(n=11).The results showed XMK appeared to inhibite overactivation of the neurohormonal factors in CHF rats,enhance sensitivity of peripheral vessels to AVP,and ability of the kidney eliminating NE,natriuresis,and diuresis. Because of these effects,XMK may improve CHF symptoms.

        摘要：Antipeptic Ulcer effect of Qingwei Kuining oral liquid was reported in this paper,The oral liquid was a preparation of Chinese drugs,which was made by a method of water extracting and then alcoholic precipiting the drugs,Pharmacological experiments proved that the liquid could inhibit the formation of the ulcers caused by indomethacin,stress ulcers,and gastrointestinal peristalsis,120 patients with peptic ulcers were treated with the liquid,and all of them had recovered.The total effective rate was 100%.

        摘要：Using a double blind method a randomized clinical trial was condueted on Shugan Yishen suppository,a pre Chinese drug preparation,to treat patients with functional impotence. In the two clinical trials with a totai of the 220 cases including 30 cases as a vehicle control.and another 30 cases treated with shenbao oral liquid as a reference drug,effective rates of the suppository were 91.7 and 96.0%, respectively,which were significantly higher than that of the vehicle or the reference control.The dataobtained from the experiments with mice revealed that Shuguan Yishen suppository appeared to remarkably increase both the number of spontaneous activity in the mice with deficiency of the Kidney Yang,and the weihgt of preputial glands in the castrated mice.
